Madison Breshears
Kennel Technician
Madison is from Smithville, MO and will be graduating Smithville High School in 2024. In her free time she does Barrel Racing and Pole Bending competitively. She is hoping to attend Texas A&M University next year for veterinary medicine.
Kara Haney
Receptionist
Kara grew up in Topeka, Kansas with three sisters and a variety of family pets ranging from Guinea pigs to Arabian horses! She currently lives in Smithville with two horses: Painted Daisy and Disco Diva, three cats; Tiger Lily, Doppler Radar and Fostoria, one mini doxie named Lina Lucy and her husband Doug! Kara has had a love for taking care of animals ever since she can remember.
Kara comes from a background in Property Management, helping people find the perfect place to call home. In 2020, she decided to make a career change and combine her enthusiasm and love for helping both people and animals. Kara joined the Jackson Animal Clinic team in August of 2023 and is thrilled, as she has been a long time client!
She enjoys spending time outdoors, riding her horse on the trail, four wheeling, planting flowers, being on the lake and enjoying time spent laughing with family and friends.
Savanna Gower
Receptionist
Savanna joined our team in August of this year but has been in the veterinary field since 2010. Starting in the spay/neuter clinic of an animal shelter and moving to private practice a few years later, she not only found her passion in life but also her place in the world. Originally from Illinois, she moved to Independence in May and has spent the summer exploring the KC area. Savanna is an avid reader and overall homebody but won’t say no to a good fishing spot!

I've been going to Jackson for over 15 years. I keep coming back because they have great pricing, the staff is always friendly, from the sweet women at the front desk to the vet techs to the doctors. Some days they are crazy busy but they work really hard for a minimal wait. Most of the time there is little to no wait. I get the best of care for my dogs and feel like everyone there takes the time to listen to my concerns and doesn't try to rush me out. With COVID they are still all wearing masks even though it's not required anymore and that makes me feel a lot more comfortable coming in. There have been a few times when my dogs have had major issues that were beyond the scope of what they can treat so they sent me elsewhere. But I always come back for the follow-up appointments to this clinic. Just recently my dogs eye was all red and puffy when he woke up and they got me in within 30 minutes of my call.

My grandpup sees Dr.Partch. He's kind of a handful but she is so understanding... Diesel had all his shots and is set for awhile. Some confusion checking in but we worked that out and they got us in. I'm pretty happy with this visit and I believe his parents are too... Thank you!
